Sawtooth Sports Foundation is a 501c3 Non-Profit that supports Hurtig Shooting Center with Capital Improvements, Education, Safety, and Maintenance.

Since 2018, we have accomplished many projects and purchases. This page serves to keep our donors, sponsors, HSC Patrons, and the Community At Large abreast of our activities.

There is still much to improve upon and all this needs to be maintained. We appreciate your generosity and will continue to improve our valley's best gun club with your help. We look forward to adding more educational classes to improve your skills and add safety.

PREVIOUS PROJECTS:

Graded for drainage, paved, graveled, and installed the railroad ties along the berms.
Five stand machines have all been replaced. We have added voice activation "pull" stations where appropriate. We have added and maintained solar charging and radio controllers where appropriate The new pavers on the trap stations were also funded by Sawtooth Sports Foundation.
The entire Sporting Clay course was expanded and built with all new machines. The road and maintenance trails grading, gravel were paid for by Sawtooth Sports Foundation.
Pistol Pits have all been expanded to 25 to 30 yards deep. The berms have all been raised for additional safety. Railroad ties added for controlled snow removal. The entire berm surface added cover material to reduce any ricochets. Distance markers and new steel reactive targets added.
Long Range Targets out to 100 yards - New reactive steel targets purchased and placed.
John Deere Skid Steer and snow blower for snow removal and moving pallets and equipment was purchased and maintained by Sawtooth Sports Foundation.
Hurtig Shooting Center has adopted a scholarship program primarily for our trappers and this is fully funded by Sawtooth Sports Foundation.
The Clubhouse has added a big screen TV for education and a PA system for events and classes all from Sawtooth Sports Foundation.
The 2023 Situational Awareness Seminal was a SSF Presentation. We hope to do more of this type of class soon.
